About Us

Cloth Diapering? I think people wonder if I have lost my marbles. Hey, this isn’t your Bubbie’s ordeal anymore with those nasty plastic pants and pins!

Today’s cloth diaper is as trim as a disposable and as easy to use. But they are much better—they even come in great high tech soft fabrics that wick moisture away from baby’s bottom. We already know cloth is smarter for the planet but did you know they are safer for your baby’s intimate parts and much much less expensive!

And did we mention the savings?

When I added up how much money I already spent on Huggies disposable size 5 diapers ($300) and we weren’t potty trained yet—so I could anticipate at least $200 more spent before we were done with size 5 (and we shop discount-at Costco too) I realized something had to change if we were to afford more children and private school tuition.

What changed was me!

I had tried cloth diapering before using a service and it was a disaster- blowouts, soaked clothes…and sheets…and furniture…and smelly diaper pails and waiting for Vic the diaper guy to come pick up the smelly pail…and the origami my husband refused to do. I couldn’t believe people would put up with this. Then a friend told me that there were a lot more options out there. So I started to read about it and research it and was determined to find something that would keep my mind and my wallet in tact.

Well, I found it!

Now I want to share the fruits of that research and experimentation with you—to save you the time, money and frustration of trying things that don’t work. So we carry only those products that do work and we’re here to help you navigate the maze of options to design a system that will work for you.

It has been said that "the cloth diapering mom is like a well-armed soldier going into battle" (Denise and Alan Fields-Baby Bargains). While I don’t think we need to take the analogy that far, it helps make the point that a cloth-diapering parent will tend to know their child’s elimination habits and choose diapers accordingly.

Thus, you may find that Kissaluvs is the only diaper able to contain newborn breast-fed poo, but when junior starts sleeping through the night, you may prefer Fuzzibunz or something similarly trim. Yet a full stash of Fuzzibunz may be out of your budget. A more well rounded collection may be best for your wallet and for baby. A small to large stack of Chinese prefolds (tighter the budget, larger the stack) and Bummis covers might suit you just fine.
